Work experience programme – an overview
Youngsters aged 15 and older, studying at schools throughout the South West and West Midlands, benefit from BPE's work experience programme. Spending a week at either the firm's Cheltenham or Birmingham office, students have the opportunity to work alongside solicitors and support staff in different departments.

Opportunities include:
• Gaining valuable experience of life in a busy office environment
• Web-based research on clients and other law firms
• Attending client seminars and helping with marketing projects
• Working as part of a team preparing documents
• Shadowing solicitors attending court or an employment tribunal
Feedback to students is provided at the end of the week's placement.

"I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at BPE particularly because the tasks I was given and the solicitors I spoke to increased my knowledge and interest in becoming a solicitor.
