Parking Charges
This week a scheme has been announced that will start in April 2010 commencing in Nottingham.
The scheme is to impose a charge per workplace parking space of £185. The charge is encouraging greener practices at work and to fund improvements to public transport.
Whether or not the parking cost will be paid by the company or passed on to the individual employees will be a matter for the employer but each parking space provided will attract the levy.
Interestingly, the Nottingham Chamber of Commerce is mounting a legal challenge.
