Beacon light shines on BPE Solicitors
BPE Solicitors’ positive culture, HR and marketing practices have resulted in the Gloucestershire-based law firm becoming the latest county business to be awarded Beacon accreditation.
The 19-partner firm, with offices in St James’ Square, Cheltenham, will now join many of the South West’s most forward-thinking and ambitious companies, brought together to spearhead growth in the region.
John Workman, Senior Partner said: “We are delighted to be invited to join some of the region’s exemplar companies around the Beacon boardroom table. Having an opportunity to share business ideas and work together in partnership with like-minded business people will be hugely beneficial to our practice.”
“Our HR and marketing teams are thrilled that they have helped us to achieve Beacon status and it is hugely rewarding to discover that the effort we have all made to create and maintain an enduring positive, flexible culture has helped our business to be recognised regionally,” added John.
BPE will now join thirty-five other Beacon companies, based in Gloucestershire, many of whom are clients of the firm.
Sue Baker, of Beacon South West, welcomed BPE as members. Sue said: “By placing an emphasis on the importance of their staff through HR programmes and strategic marketing communications, BPE has seen continued growth and success, demonstrating the ideology of a Beacon South West company. We are sure they will not only be able to draw on the experience from other Gloucestershire Beacons at the Board Room, but also bring a wealth of successful practices to the table.”
Beacon South West is a leading business initiative supported by the South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) bringing together the region’s most pioneering and rapidly expanding organisations. A professional environment for good practice, fresh ideas and innovation, Beacon South West works with businesses that are as ambitious as they are contemporary - in both their performance and thinking. Beacon businesses are ambassadors for outstanding achievement, raising the region’s profile overall and, in return, all Beacon businesses receive the full professional support of their peers gaining access to new ideas and strategies, as well as high quality resources and training.
Last year BPE had another external endorsement of the quality service it provides to clients when the firm became the latest Gloucestershire practice to achieve the Law Society’s quality standard, Lexcel.
Achieving Lexcel has already made a difference to the firm – procedures have been streamlined for the benefit of clients and having a recognised quality standard has helped the firm to prove its capabilities when pitching for new contracts.
“With the help of our Beacon membership we are looking forward to “putting something back” to ensure the prosperity of the region whilst promoting the network to our clients, many of whom share our entrepreneurial and innovative approach to business,” said John.
