BPE Solicitors strengthens partnership team
BPE Solicitors has promoted two senior solicitors to its partnership table – in recognition of the work they have done to develop client relationships and bring in new business.
Lisa Norman joined the Gloucestershire-based practice in the summer and has already impressed a large number of the firm’s blue chip clients with her incisive employment law expertise.
Experienced in working with major businesses in retail, manufacturing and financial services, she has successfully defended a number of complex and high value discrimination claims, and has offered strategic advice on business restructuring and handled trade union and collective issues.
Lisa, who lives in Cheltenham, chose to join BPE because of its reputation for offering straightforward, practical employment advice.
Gloucestershire Airport Director, Mark Ryan, who has begun to work with Lisa since she joined BPE said: “Lisa has been a real asset to Gloucestershire Airport. Her timely and professional advice has been invaluable to our business. We wish her all the best with her promotion.”
The second partnership appointment goes to Richard Spencer, who joined the firm as a trainee in 2001.
Now recognised as one of BPE’s most highly regarded commercial property experts Richard is well-known for his networking and marketing skills.
Richard acts for property developers and landowners, dealing with acquisition and disposals of sites for development.
Mark Snape, of Snape Construction, a long-standing client of Richard Spencer said: “Richard is a valuable and diligent member of the BPE team and has provided Snape Construction with a thoroughly professional service.”
Personal Injury Solicitor Ann-Marie Whelan has also been promoted to Associate within the firm’s personal injury team in recognition of her track record in obtaining substantial compensation payments for people injured at work, particularly those suffering from noise-induced hearing loss and asbestos-related illnesses.
BPE Senior Partner John Workman, said: “Law is a people business and we invest a great deal of time and energy in recruiting and selecting colleagues who fit our business culture. I am delighted to be able to reward Lisa, Richard and Ann-Marie with richly deserved promotions and am confident that they will continue to impress us with their professionalism and enthusiasm.”
