Gloucestershire professional advisers support green energy specialist in its expansion plans
BPE Solicitors LLP advised Cirencester-based Green Compliance plc when it wished to raise £10 million to fund working capital and support its future targeted acquisition strategy.

Green Compliance plc is a national business specialising in providing certificates and guidance with regard to Energy Performance Services necessary under the Government Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

Established in 2005, the company is committed to supporting environmental initiatives to reduce carbon emissions as well as providing the EPC assessors and logistical services needed to implement Government legislation.

BPE Solicitors’ Partner Anthony Rudge advised the company on the legal aspects of securing additional funding, as well as disposing of a non-core division of the business.

A new Chief Executive, John Prowse, has also been appointed at Green Compliance plc, to capitalise on the company’s ambitious plans for growth.

“Securing additional funding will provide Green Compliance with the financial foundations to grow its business. Additional funds, coupled with a dynamic new Chief Executive, will ensure the company can exploit market opportunities in the compliance sector,” said Anthony Rudge.

The deal, which was completed quickly to take advantage of market conditions, involved Anthony leading a team of legal specialists including fellow Partner Tim Ward and Assistant Gareth Davies.

Green Compliance plc, formerly Green CO2 plc, is a longstanding client of the Cheltenham-based firm, which has a reputation for supporting entrepreneurial businesses throughout the South West.
