Technology Contracts Lawyer
We are looking for a Technology Contracts Lawyer with 4+ years PQE to join our growing Technology Division.
If your ideal role entails working on IP, IT and/or data rich science and technology projects, with an opportunity for lots of direct engagement with clients who are often leaders in their fields, this role could be for you.
The Technology team at BPE is growing fast and has a requirement for an experienced (ideally 4 years + PQE) commercial contracts lawyer with solid technology experience to join a team with clients of global repute. High quality drafting and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently. Much of the work is project based, where you will act as the external “in-house” lawyer, as part of a wider team.
Competitive salary and benefits with flexibility on location.
You will be passionate, resilient, and commercially minded. You will have strong communication skills and will work well independently. Excellent technical skills and attention to detail are key for success in this role, not forgetting being a true team player, and having the all essential GSOH! You will be familiar with the concept of putting the client at the heart of everything you do.
BPE was established by mavericks and innovators who broke the rules by doing unheard of things. The firm’s leadership has changed, but those core beliefs in innovation, entrepreneurialism and commercial focus remain an essential part of the firm’s culture.
BPE is an ambitious and expanding law firm. Our recruitment approach is informal, we want to learn about you, not put you on the spot. Surveys we have done internally show that this is what our people think.
Our clients tell us they like our entrepreneurial and flexible approach to working with them. They are, after all, the essence of BPE. We take pride in offering straight-forward, commercial legal advice. We take time to get to know our clients to understand what drives them so that we can support them to achieve their goals.
A good working environment is crucial for everyone and we have an active process for considering and implementing suggestions from all members of the firm for continual improvements.
Our open plan office means everyone works alongside each other: from Partners to Trainees to support staff, we work together and learn from each other. For those who work remotely, we have established ways of working to ensuring support and supervision, that an individual’s training needs are met, and, of course, compliance with regulatory requirements.
We are looking for people who share BPE’s DNA, who take time to dig deeper and establish how we can add value. If you share our ambition and want to work with some of the leading STEM organisations in the UK and beyond, we would like to hear from you.
If you think you would like a change or would like to further your career please get in touch and contact Amanda Coleman Head of HR at BPE on firstname.lastname@example.org.
