Estonian Exchange Strengthens International Relations

Estonian Solicitor Margus Reiland is experiencing what life is like in a UK legal firm, by spending four weeks at Gloucestershire based BPE Solicitors.
Margus, who is an employee of law firm LEXTAL in Estonia, will primarily be working in BPE’s five-strong Commercial team, whilst he takes part in the exchange scheme that has been running within the firm for around 13 years. One of BPE’s solicitors will then join Margus in Estonia to see how a legal firm works over there.
Margus commented, “Working at BPE for four weeks will be great experience for me, giving me a first-hand insight into a UK law firm. I am looking forward to the coming weeks and seeing what BPE, and of course, Cheltenham has to offer.”
With specialities including tax law, EU law, competition law and administrative law Margus will also spend time working in BPE’s Litigation, Corporate and Employment teams.
Partner and Head of the Commercial team, Iain Garfield, commented, “Our Senior Partner John Workman being Honorary Consul to the Republic of Estonia means we have strong links with the country and we have taken part in several exchanges before. It’s great to welcome Margus over to the UK, for him to gain invaluable experience working in a busy British law firm.”
