Working Parents in Property Industry Invited to Women in Property Networking Mums Lunch

Mothers from a leading Gloucestershire law firm are encouraging fellow working parents, expectant mothers and those on maternity leave to join them for a bi-monthly lunch, run by national organisation, Women in Property. The event will be held on the 4th August from 12:45pm to 2:00pm at Après in the Brewery, a spacious, child friendly venue in the centre of Cheltenham.

The Association of Women in Property is a professional forum for women in the property and construction sectors, where they represent only 9% of the workforce. The organisation holds a range of events across the UK with a number of branches, including Yorkshire & the North East, East Midlands, the South West and Devon and Cornwall.

Anna Wood and Emilie Sclater, both from BPE Solicitors, set up the Cheltenham Networking Mums group in February 2015 to provide parents in the surrounding area with a friendly environment to share their experiences of balancing work and family life, as well as discuss their thoughts and concerns about returning to the workplace.

“This will be my last Networking Mums lunch before I take my maternity leave again and it would be great to see some new faces joining us,” commented expectant mum, Emilie.

“These lunches are a great chance to chat and share ideas about being a working mum in property and a chance to make new contacts too.”

Anna Wood, said, "The Networking Mums lunches have been a great way to keep in touch with my professional contacts whilst on maternity leave. I've loved keeping up-to-date through the meet ups as well as getting tips on the new work/life balance I'll need to strike when I return to work."

The Networking events are open to both members of Women in Property as well as non-members and mothers are welcome to bring along their young children.

If you would like any more information or would like to attend the event in August, please contact Emilie Sclater on 01242 248296 or email emilie.sclater@bpe.co.uk .
