October RePLY Networking looks at new Stroud Eco Park

Businesses from Stroud and the Five Valleys are invited to join BPE Solicitors and Randall & Payne at the next RePLY event on 15th October 2015, taking place at the Forest Green Rovers stadium, the New Lawn.

Attendees to the free event will have the opportunity to find out more about the Eco Park proposal and participate in a question and answer session with a panel of key partners of the Eco Park project.

The event comes hot on the heels of a previous panel discussion regarding the plans on 22nd September at the New Lawn, which had huge business interest and sold out in just a few weeks.

Located at Junction 13 of the M5, the initial plans for the new 100 acre sports and technology centre, called Eco Park , have now been unveiled.  Having a dual purpose, half of the Eco Park will be dedicated to creating state-of-the-art sporting facilities and will include a new 5,000 capacity stadium for Forest Green Rovers.  The other half of the Eco Park will comprise of a green technology business park with sustainably built commercial offices and light industrial units.  The development of the Eco Park is likely to create a lot of interest and trade for the Stroud and Five Valleys area with the development expecting to create up to 4,000 new jobs.

The RePLY networking event will feature an interactive discussion from an expert panel including the project leader, Chris Gregg and David Drew, Vice Chairman of Forest Green Rovers, amongst others.  Along with the panel discussion, there will be the chance to network with likeminded business people whilst enjoying a selection of delicious canapés and refreshments.

“The new Eco Park is an excellent example of one of many highly innovative projects happening in the Stroud and Five Valleys area”, commented Cheryl Leigh, Partner at BPE Solicitors. “BPE have long been supporters of both Ecotricity and Forest Green Rovers and their ethos of creating a more sustainable, greener Britain, and we are delighted to help facilitate discussion on this exciting proposal; we’re an entrepreneurial business and enjoy hearing from like-minded businesses”

David Drew, vice chairman of Forest Green Rovers said: "Eco Park is an amazing opportunity for both the club and community to create a place where green businesses and technology companies come together and share ideas, and that's exactely what we want to do at this networking event."
