BPE flexes legal muscles with continued support for thriving gym

Gloucestershire law firm BPE Solicitors is celebrating its relationship with Pure Gym, as the chain announced its one millionth customer and two hundredth gym opening in February 2018.

BPE has advised on all of the fit-out contracts for Pure Gym, starting from its sites in Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh in 2009. The relationship began with Antonia Shield from the Cheltenham firm’s Commercial Property team. Since then, BPE’s Construction & Engineering team has advised Pure Gym by preparing and negotiating the fit-out contracts for all 200 sites, together with a number of extension and refurbishment projects. The relationship between BPE’s construction specialists and Pure Gym’s development team is managed by Anna Wood, Senior Associate, with day-to-day legal work carried out by Katie Pickering, Chartered Legal Executive.

“It’s these types of long-standing relationships that BPE excels at,” explains Antonia Shield, Partner in the Commercial Property team. “By working with clients from an early stage, we can help shape their business to support and promote further growth.”

John Graham, Property Development Director of Pure Gym, said: “The whole team at BPE has been fantastic from the start, and we are always confident of the best possible support from them all. Having a trusted team of professionals on hand, combined with their strategic advice and input, has helped us make sound business decisions on our journey.”

BPE works with young businesses in their growth to become multi-million pound or multi-national operations. Senior Partner, John Workman said: “Working with entrepreneurs through their business’ lifecycle from start-up and structuring through growth is something we are very familiar with. As an owner managed business ourselves, we understand the nuances and complexities involved in making decisions for the growth of your company.”
