World Mental Health Day

October 10th marks World Mental Health Day.  At BPE, we recognise the pressures of working in law, which can be an intense environment at times with demanding cases and long hours. 

Over the past few years we have introduced a number of measures to support staff throughout the business. 

How do we support our staff?

  • Sessions have been run to promote wellbeing including mindfulness workshops, massage and reflexology
  • We host guest workshops focusing on healthy eating
  • We organise three fitness classes a week onsite which are free to attend for all staff
  • All staff members also have access to an anonymous phone counselling service which they can access to talk about any issues they have, both personal and work related. 

We are also proud to have a number of staff members trained as Mental Health First Aiders who are available for anyone to talk to in the strictest confidence.

Most importantly we encourage everyone to look out for each other.  

Does someone in team not seem their usual self?  Have you noticed a change in behaviour?  Take five minutes to check on them, grab a coffee together, see if you can help… or just be there to listen.
