BPE acts for artificial skin company in £1.368million fundraising

BPE Solicitors’ Corporate Team has once again acted for long standing client and AIM-quoted company, Integumen plc, on its recent placing and subscription to raise £1.368million (before expenses).

Integumen plc’s Labskin product, a laboratory-grown skin, allows skincare and healthcare companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers and cosmetic companies to test their products on human-like skin in a real-world environment.

BPE has previously acted for the company, advising on recent acquisitions, placings and fundraisings. This latest fundraising will help facilitate the company’s 2020 growth plans, including expanding the firm’s laboratory in York, recruiting new employees and increasing the company’s offering and sales.

Led by Corporate Partner, Louise Grzasko, the BPE team advised Integumen plc on the placing and subscription, working alongside SPARK Advisory Partners, the company's nominated adviser, and Turner Pope, the company's broker.

Commenting on the deal, Gerard Brandon, Chief Executive Officer of Integumen plc said: “Once again, we have had outstanding service from the Corporate Team at BPE. I am always delighted to have them working alongside me and my team at Integumen. Louise and her colleagues pulled out all the stops, meeting very tight deadlines, to ensure that this fundraising completed quickly and with the minimum of fuss, which is very important and really appreciated by me.”

Louise added: “It was great to have another chance to work with Integumen.  We have been involved with the company since its IPO in April 2017 and so it is fantastic to see them going from strength to strength.  We look forward to more opportunities to support the company as it executes its growth plans.”
