BPE ‘go the extra mile’ for Severn Freewheelers
2021 was a tricky year for fundraising but the team at BPE Solicitors are taking advantage of the arrival of spring and launching their latest challenge in aid of their Charity of the Year, Severn Freewheelers.
In a bid to get everyone out and about and to raise money along the way, staff at the Gloucestershire based law firm are taking on the challenge of travelling 181.8 miles each in any way they can.
181.8 miles is the distance between the main hospitals supported by Severn Freewheelers in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The challenge starts on 8th March and the team will have four weeks to travel the distance however they like, be it running, cycling or walking the dog!
John Workman, Senior Partner at BPE said, “The past twelve months have seen the demand for the services Severn Freewheelers provide increase exponentially and we’re delighted to be continuing our support for the charity again this year. The benefits, both mentally and physically, of getting out and about regularly are obvious and I’ve already signed up to be part of the ‘Going the extra mile’ team. I’m going to have to start late after the stitches come out (don’t ask!) so I’ll be playing catch up and aiming to do it in a week if I can...”
