My aim is to reach a good result or contract in the best interests of my client, as soon as possible. An understanding of what a 'good' or 'market standard' result looks like is needed to achieve this
I specialise in construction and engineering law, working closely with utility and engineering companies, energy and water industry suppliers, contractors and developers. I normally work on standard form and bespoke construction and engineering contracts in addition to international plant supply and installation, power and fuel supply, and collaboration and research development agreements.
I enjoy working with people from different disciplines and professions, and learning from their perspectives on projects. Prior to joining BPE, I was the general counsel of a private equity company and the engineering and renewable energy companies within it's portfolio. My two roles prior to that were as senior project counsel for Horizon Nuclear Power and head of construction and energy at Thrings LLP.
I am a legal advisory panel member to the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Legal Consultant to the New Engineering Contract.
Having dealt with and been impressed by BPE solicitors previously, I felt I would enjoy the environment and my clients would also.
