I tailor my advice to my clients' needs and like to build long-lasting relationships with all my clients
I thrive from giving legal advice to creators, buyers, providers and guardians of technology, data, IP, knowledge and information-related services.
Over the last 20 years I've felt so privileged to live through a technology revolution and to be able to observe first-hand the value and economies that technology can provide. I've advised a wide range of clients; from early stage businesses, giving them relevant and necessary, risk-focused support to enable them to scale safely and effectively as well as much larger international corporations, advising them on their regulatory and contractual risk management requirements.
I have experience in working in most sectors but with a common theme of technology at the heart. In particular, I've thoroughly enjoyed working ‘client-side’ for technology-driven household names in the retail, manufacturing and communications sectors, giving legal support to enable expansion into digital markets or to enable the ‘exit’ ambitions through careful planning and preparation.
Through my experience both in-house and in private practice, I have learned to understand and respect the pressures on a client. Whether my contact is a GC of the in-house legal team, the FD, COO, CTO or owner manager, I am mindful of ensuring that my output is tailored to clients' needs, and that it speaks in the same language and style that is needed by my contact for the client business. I ensure we stay on budget and continually strive for efficiencies. Above all, I aim to become a long-lasting support to all client contacts with whom I interact.
Outside of work, I've been a trustee on the Board of Trustees for British Blind Sport, a governor at a local primary school and have boarded guide dogs for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
