What to do if you've bought defective goods

If you have bought a product that develops a fault, you are entitled to a refund, repair or replacement under the Sale of Goods Act. You should contact the retailer as soon as you notice the fault. You have the right to reject your item and obtain a refund within four weeks of purchase. You can also ask the retailer to repair or replace your item within 6 months of purchase and use your guarantee or warranty if the item develops a fault.
