
Peter is a Partner in the Commercial Litigation team with extensive experience in a broad range of civil claims and disputes.
He has especial expertise in respect of both Corporate and Commercial claims, including breach of warranty claims in share and asset purchase agreements, unfair prejudice petitions (including multiple multi-million-pound claims), claims against directors, and complex and high-value contractual disputes. Peter regularly takes instructions from national and international clients, operating in a wide range of sectors.
Peter takes a characteristically robust approach to litigation, whilst maintaining a strong commercial attitude. Peter is well-known for his no-nonsense approach, and has scored notable successes for clients in mediations and other negotiated settlements.
In addition to his Corporate and Commercial work, Peter also has a growing and successful practice in respect of contested wills, estates and trusts. This includes challenging the validity of wills, claims to remove executors, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, and challenges to the management of the estate.
As well as the above, Peter has significant expertise in Commercial Property disputes, including forfeiture claims, lease renewal claims, and complex claims for unpaid rent and service charges.
Peter is an experienced advocate, having acted as a solicitor advocate for several years in a wide range of civil claims throughout England and Wales. He was Called to the Bar in October 2009 and remains a Barrister (non-practising) today. Peter has been named as a Next Generation Partner by the Legal 500 for his work in Commercial Litigation.
