It’s hard to believe that is has nearly been 6-months since I joined the Technology team at BPE. Looking back on my time here so far, I can honestly say it has been a hugely rewarding experience.
Since joining the team in September, I was thrown into the deep end and given the opportunity to assist with various exciting matters and internal projects. On the client side, this has involved working with high-profile and innovative companies on matters involving NFTs, IP, data protection, cyber security, software licencing, grant agreements, competition law, regulatory issues and so much more. On the project side, I co-presented a presentation to the firm about the Metaverse during a “lunch and learn” session, took an active role in helping to shape BPE’s Digital Assurance service, and helped to steer our team’s recent marketing strategy.
One of the best parts of my time in the Tech team has been the opportunity to work with and learn from the best legal minds in business. From them, I have gained a unique perspective into how technology is shaping the legal landscape and how we, as legal advisors, must evolve to meet changing demands.
I look forward to further developing my tech skills and knowledge as I remain in the Technology team for my second seat. Bring it on!
