BPE Solicitors’ Advises Big Sofa Technologies Group on Recent AIM Admission
BPE Corporate Solicitors has helped a fast-growing, video analytics provider to become listed on AIM, the London Stock Exchange’s international market for smaller growing companies.
Corporate lawyers from the Gloucestershire based legal firm recently advised Big Sofa Technologies Group Plc on the admission of the company’s shares to the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).
Big Sofa, is a London based company, delivering a video management service to clients including Unilever, P&G, British Airways and SC Johnson to allow them to derive maximum value from the multi-layered insight that exists within every piece of media.
BPE helped the company with raising more than £6 million through a placing and subscription of new ordinary shares to spur growth and aid its expansion in the US.
Anthony Rudge, Head of Corporate at BPE and lead advisor on the deal, commented: “This was a challenging and complex deal that needed careful management and co-ordination of its large share-holder base due to earlier crowdfunding. Speed of access to funding was key as the company was actively growing in the period up to admission, but we were able to deliver within a narrow timescale.”
Anthony was assisted by Emma Payne a Senior Associate who has recently joined BPE from Deutsche Bank where she managed a team of derivatives lawyers. Anthony was delighted with Emma’s appointment as her strong project management skills give further strength and depth to the team to allow BPE to continue to deliver sizeable and complex transactions.
