BPE acts for HiETA Technologies in significant investment deal

Cheltenham-based law firm BPE Solicitors has acted for HiETA Technologies Limited on a recent significant investment from Meggitt (UK) Ltd.

HiETA Technologies has been providing the automotive, aerospace, defence, energy and motorsports industries with products and services using additive manufacturing techniques since 2011. The Bristol-based company has decades of experience through its founders and focuses on heat exchanging and recovery technology, particularly in engines.

Meggitt (UK) Ltd is a subsidiary of Meggitt PLC, a global business specialising in advanced products and technology for the aviation, defence and energy sectors.

The investment from Meggitt (UK) Ltd will enable HiETA Technologies to accelerate the development of the next line of thermal technology systems. These systems are key for HiETA as they will enable the continued development of sustainable aviation and low carbon power generation solutions.

Led by Senior Associate Adam Kean and supported by Angharad Doyle, Philippa Kean and Rupert Parker, BPE’s Corporate Team was assisted by the firm’s IT and Cyber Team, overseeing both the investment transaction and relevant technical contracts.

Adam commented: “We are delighted to have supported HiETA and the founders in securing this key investment into the company to help grow the business and build on its successful trading history.”

Commenting on the transaction, HiETA Technologies’ CEO and co-founder, Mike Adams said: “We are delighted to have secured the investment from a leading international company in high performance components and subsystems for the aerospace, defence and selected energy markets, bringing an incredible wealth of experience to HiETA.”

“It has been a pleasure working with BPE Solicitors again, supporting us on this latest and significant investment.  They have acted for us from an early stage and Adam and his team have provided an invaluable service, delivering both sound commercial insight and legal expertise to ensure this successful conclusion.”
