Looking back on 2020: Supporting our staff

This December we’re looking back at our year and how we’ve supported staff through a worldwide pandemic.

Coronavirus has presented many challenges, with a significant one being the burden on people’s mental health and wellbeing. This topic is prevalent in the news and in the minds of managers across the country and it is one that BPE has taken very seriously.

Everyone has had unique circumstances to deal with this year and the impact of COVID-19 has been widespread, BPE recognised this and put the following measures and more in place to care for staff wellbeing:

  • Regular firmwide zoom meetings as an opportunity to get together and catch up with the latest firm news.
  • Regular internal emails from the management team to keep the firm abreast of the situation.
  • Access to the Employee Assistance Hotline for those who were struggling and needed confidential support.

BPE cares for the wellbeing and mental health of all staff and colleagues are always encouraged to speak out when help is needed.
