Our 2020 – continuing to grow
Despite general uncertainty in the economy this year, we’re proud to have been able to continue with our strategic growth plans welcoming several senior colleagues to the firm during very turbulent times.
Nick Rowe joined as Partner and Head of Employment and has over 18 years’ experience as a solicitor having qualified in 2002.
He acts for both public and private organisations well as senior employees, executives and directors in respect of settlement agreements and exit packages. He also advises shareholders and stakeholders on the wider issues that arise from the employment relationship.
Nick is an accredited mediator, giving his clients an alternative to going through the Courts when attempting to resolve employment related issues. As well as mediation, Nick has substantial High Court experience, acting for clients in relation to enforcement (and resisting enforcement) of restrictive covenants and other satellite employment claims.
Jess Beddows joined the BPE Private Wealth team as Partner in September. She qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 and advises clients on a range of personal legal matters including Wills and estate planning, Powers of Attorney, Trusts and estate administration.
Jess has significant experience advising elderly and vulnerable clients in relation to their financial affairs, mental capacity issues and health & welfare matters including safeguarding measures and the suitability of care. Jess is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, an associate member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners and is also a Dementia Friend.
As well as this, she advises a number of business owners and farming partnerships with regard to their personal affairs and the links between this and their business interests.
At a time when business finance is a critical factor, we were also delighted to welcome a new Chief Financial Officer, Chris Allen, who will support the firm commercially and strategically.
Chris has a strong commercial and financial background and joined BPE from his previous role as Head of Financial Operations at the BBC.
We’re delighted to have welcomed them all to BPE this year and have another exciting new announcement to make in the New Year – watch this space…!s
