BPE Solicitors advises on new Gloucester Rugby training ground

BPE Solicitors has been working hard in the background to advise Gloucester Rugby on the move of their training ground from Hartpury to a brand new facility at Kingsholm Business Park.

As the club’s legal advisor, BPE advised and acted in respect of lease negotiations for the new training facilities, a short walk from Kingsholm Stadium.

Jo Bewley, Partner and Head of Property Services at BPE Solicitors, led the team which included Kate Fountain to secure the new facilities in what will be a significant move for Gloucester Rugby who have trained at Hartpury University for the past 10 years.

Jo said: “We’re delighted to have been able to secure this significant new property for Gloucester Rugby.  As the training facilities for the team, it was vital to ensure that the property was adequate, both for their current and future needs and we advised Lance and the team in relation to the lease which will see the club’s training based in its new home for the next ten years.”

Lance Bradley, CEO at Gloucester Rugby said: “It has been no secret that we have been exploring new training facilities for a while.  We continue to invest heavily in the development of both the senior squad and the academy and the training facility is a crucial part of this development.  The new premises at Kingsholm Business Park includes state of the art equipment and has been configured to ensure the optimal use for our players.  I’m really pleased with the proactive, commercial advice and support provided by Jo and the team to enable us to get this key project over the line ready for preseason training this summer.”
