Networking event takes off

Gloucestershire based legal firm, BPE Solicitors, has joined with Randall & Payne Accountants for the first RePLY networking event of 2017.

The event, attended by 35 business professionals, was held at the Electroflight facility in Canal Iron Works, Stroud. Guests were welcomed by BPE Senior Partner John Workman and Rob Case from Randall & Payne before an insightful talk from CEO and Electroflight Founder, Roger Targett.

Roger explained that he and a team of entrepreneurs are currently designing and building a high performance, electric powered, sport race aircraft to set new world records, with the aim of being a world-leader in this new and exciting technology.

“Electroflight was the perfect venue for RePLY – it truly highlights how one small business in Stroud can positively contribute to a sector on an international scale,” John Workman said. “It’s incredibly exciting to think that the future of electric aeroplanes is developing here in Gloucestershire.”

Roger Targett commented: “We were so pleased to show everyone in the RePLY networking group what we do here at Electroflight. We’re incredibly passionate about this work and are proud to be leading the way in electric powered aircraft and to be involved in what could be the very beginning of the commercialisation of electric flights.”

The RePLY series of events are jointly hosted by BPE Solicitors and Randall & Payne Chartered Accountants, and follow a structure which includes a speaker, networking opportunities and a tour or demonstration. Each event highlights and promotes a different business within Stroud and the Five Valleys, and offers attendees the chance to find out more about local businesses, as well as network with like-minded professionals.
