The corporate team at Cheltenham based law firm, BPE Solicitors, has recently advised the shareholders of Cotswold Tool & Plant Hire Limited on a share sale.
The family owned business, based in Chipping Norton, was established in 1997 and provides a large range of tools, plants and other equipment for hire in the Cotswolds.
Dale Williams, Partner at BPE, was a key adviser on the deal, which saw Cotswold Tool & Plant Hire purchased by Tewkesbury company, WHC Hire Services Limited. He commented: “We have been working with Cotswold Tool & Plant Hire for 20 years, seeing them through every stage of their development, and this successful sale marks what will hopefully be a positive new stage for the business.”
WHC Hire Services, also founded in 1997, specialises in the supply of large tools and plants to contractors, civil engineers, groundwork contractors, builders and other commercial clients.
Retiring Managing Director of Cotswold Tool & Plant Hire, said: “Cotswold Tool & Plant Hire will be part of a well-established business that has a reputation for excellent quality products and services. This sale opens up a range of opportunities for the team, extending current reach and generating many benefits for current clients.

Following the sale, Cotswold Tool & Plant Hire will remain at its premises on Station Road, Chipping Norton, and will continue to trade under its current name.
