I enjoy working with my clients to find novel, commercial and innovative solutions to facilitate data sharing.
Having previously spent a large part of my training in the Science and Technology department, I am pleased to be qualifying as a solicitor in to this department on 15th April 2019.
I enjoy working with my clients to find novel, commercial and innovative solutions to facilitate data sharing. I have had the opportunity to work on large projects involving multiple recipients and I have also been involved in exploring the legal concept of a data trust. I am delighted that my new role will provide me with the opportunity to continue advising on aspects of information law and I have experience advising on the following areas: data protection; electronic communications, freedom of information, the NIS regulations and intellectual property.
I recognise that working in the technology sector brings with it unique challenges, and whether advising a start-up or a grant giving body, it is important to have a good understanding of the funding landscape in which technology companies operate. My training has included advising on company governance documents, public procurement and state aid law.
